SALT LAKE CITY—U.S. Senator John Curtis (R-UT) today announced that Jenney Rees will serve as his new State Director. Rees previously served as Senator Curtis’ Deputy State Director and as a Senior Adviser. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading the Senator’s statewide strategy, operations, external engagement, and constituent services.

“Through her extensive professional background, Jenney brings both enterprise-level expertise and a boots-on-the-ground understanding of the unique needs and pressing challenges of our state,” said Senator Curtis. “I’m grateful to have her continued counsel and leadership as we prioritize local engagement and constituent services throughout Utah.”

“I am incredibly grateful for Lorie Fowlke for her eight years of combined service as State Director between the House of Representatives and Senate. Her vision, grit, and determination have made our office one of the most responsive and effective constituent service operations in Congress. She will remain a critical member of my team as she assumes the role of Legal Counsel and Senior Advisor,” Curtis continued.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this role and build on strong relationships across the state,” said Rees. “I look forward to working with Senator Curtis and our team to continue addressing the issues that matter most to Utah communities and delivering exceptional constituent service.”

Rees previously served as Executive Director of Government Operations in the administration of Governor Spencer J. Cox, where she played a key role in advancing statewide priorities and improving agency performance. Her public service experience also includes serving as Mayor of Cedar Hills, Utah, and six years on the City Council. Her leadership spans both government and the private sector, including serving as CEO of RevRoad and holding executive roles in healthcare technology startups.

A native of West Valley, Rees holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and an MPA from Southern Utah University.
